Knowledge is power
You can’t take away the amazing soundtracks for Aladdin, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid. But this song is still on of my favorites in the Walt Disney music registry.
The Legend of the Sword in the Stone” music and lyrics by Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman.
Brings me back every single time I hear it.

Comedian John Ramsey and his brother, filmmaker Richard Ramsey, stumbled upon a stack of old home movies featuring themselves as kids and decided to add DVD-style commentary to the footage.
This video is great.
I follow this girl, Grace Helbig. She has a tumblr blog she runs called Daily Grace which I find entertaining. For the holidays she brought her camera home to hang out with her and her family. What ensues is fun randomness and genuine good times.
Spend more time with DailyGrace’s family. [gracehelbig:]
There are one too many short films about zombies. But Rani Naamani’s has a clever take with his short film, “Too Late.”
Director Tom Jenkins and Producer Simon Sharp’s short Address is Approximate is a fantastic stop-motion animation:
A lonely desk toy longs for escape from the dark confines of the office, so he takes a cross country road trip to the Pacific Coast in the only way he can – using a toy car and Google Maps Street View.
To celebrate the 190th anniversary of the chronograph, German luxury goods manufacturer Montblanc and advertising agency Leo Burnett Milan invited filmmakers to capture and submit “one-second-long moving pictures” of moments they considered beautiful.
Many responded, and a showreel of 60 hand-picked clips was crafted (above).
There will be two additional qualification rounds, with 20 clips selected from each round. The 60 finalists will be judged by director Wim Wenders, and one lucky beauty beholder will win a trip to the 2012 Berlinale as well as a Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec chronograph.

Check out Trey Ratcliff’s photos of sights around the world in his Counter-Earth Album. They are amazing.

Spanish artist Juan Francisco Casas uses a single biro pen to sketch these amazing pieces of art. It’s pretty astonishing how detailed and exact these are. I would have a hard time deciphering them from actual photographs.

Great list of films that put in significant detail into small components of their design, and in turn made a strong impact in the presence of certain aspects of the story.
I like this article mainly because I seem to love every one of items listed, and it may because I respect the films and filmmakers attempting to full realize the story they are trying to tell. Also because a great deal of creative thought went into something not entirely essential, but it shows how much it eventually added to the project as a whole.
